The Bureau County Metro Center is a 35,000 square foot recreational facility which houses a full-sized gymnasium for indoor sports such as basketball and volleyball; a 25-yard swimming pool with six competition lanes, wading pool and observation balcony; racquetball courts; a weight room; locker rooms; cardiovascular room; sauna; and an elevated running and walking track that circles the gym.  The large multi-purpose room with adjacent kitchen provide the perfect setting for conventions, expositions, trade shows or dinner theater and is easily divided into smaller areas to accommodate club and other organizational meetings. 

Princeton has seven parks covering about 170 acres in and around Princeton.  Alexander Park on Princeton's west side is equipped with a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, children's playground equipment, restrooms and a picnic shelter.  West Side Ballpark is the home of many leagues and Zearing Park on the south side has ball diamonds, soccer fields, a playground, shelter, restrooms, a walking/running track and a sand volleyball court.  City-Country Park north of town has shady picnic areas, outdoor grills, ball diamonds and nature trails and the famous log cabin. Nearby is our quaint Red Covered Bridge park.  Darius Miller Park has fountains, landscaped rest areas and a large shelter for community use and special events.  Princeton High School's four tennis courts are open year round to the community.  There are more than 81 active civic organizations i
